Recently I’ve been getting inspired by writing prompts. I’ve used poetry or lines from novels, but also a set of story cubes which I can roll for endless combinations. I saw this Goodreads post and thought the format would work well for prompts. So I’m creating a series of prompt pages that generate different prompts based on day, time and other variable criteria.

Now try it out. Get your 3 word prompt, use it to write for a 10-15 minute session and see what kind of idea or story it sparks. The best part is that you can do it again tomorrow or in an hour and get different words.
