It was a spectacular night of stories, music, friends (current and future), food, and beverages in the funkiest of settings Deja Vu Furniture and More ― it made for “a little SoHo in SoNH.” The event was sponsored by The New Hampshire Writers’ Project and Derry’s Writers’ Night Out. (A few WFoD folk also competed.) If you find yourself near SoNH next February (date to-be-determined), come, pour yourself a beverage, sit down and let us tell you a story. Or, better yet, tell us one of yours!

The reception hour was, well, very well-received!
Dave Rodgers on guitar! What’s a reception without cool acoustic music?
There was food aplenty! Thanks to all the folks who brought things to share.
Just for “kicks,” or “The Keds are Alright”
Don relaxes a bit before reading his story.
Contestant Jeff Duboff reads a little phone phlash phiction!
Our judges, Elaine Isaak, James Patrick Kelly, and Ed Ting, listen intently to a story.
Contestant Tori Haring-Smith reads to a full house.
Our winners, L-R, Alex McGrath 2nd, Don Huntemann 3rd, and our winner, Tori Haring-Smith!

Congratulations to Tori, who went on to take second place in the NHWP Flash Fiction Finals! Thanks to all who attended. And if you didn’t, come and join in the fun next year!
