Having improvised some meaningful exchange of ideas, partly as a result of a great “stepping up to the plate” by Nancy S. the weather-depleted raggle-taggle of Jeff, Irene, Adrian, Don, John T. and yours truly adjourned to The Firefighting Tool Tavern early and dove right into a series of conversations about Barcelona (and Gaudi of course), contaminated water on supermarket shelves and the tendency of consumers to trust commercially available products over “homegrown.” The chat touched on tools and house repair and maintenance, and much else besides, before Jennifer showed up and we all got up and left. That last bit was not related to the penultimate event though. It just worked out that way. I mean, it’s not like Jen walked in and we all sang “Hello, I must be going.”
