"There are no reliable words. Whoever writes English is involved in a struggle that never lets up even for a sentence. He is struggling against vagueness, against obscurity, against the lure of the decorative adjective, against the encroachment of Latin and Greek, and, above all, against the worn-out phrases and dead metaphors with which the language is cluttered up.” ― George Orwell
It was a spectacular night of stories, music, friends (current and future), food, and beverages in the funkiest of settings Deja Vu Furniture and More ― it made for “a little SoHo in SoNH.” The event was sponsored by The New Hampshire Writers’ Project and Derry’s Writers’ Night Out. (A few WFoD folk also competed.) If you find yourself near SoNH next February (date to-be-determined), come, pour yourself a beverage, sit down and let us tell you a story. Or, better yet, tell us one of yours!
